eWaste Free Collection from your home

Recycle your unwanted goods by having them collected from your home.

Does your garage look like this?  Why don't you start with de-cluttering some of your unwanted electronic equipment this weekend?

If any of you have the following items that you need to have discarded, we can arrange for collecting on Tuesday next week.

How to discard of your eWaste - old electronic equipment etc?

Sunset Beach Home Owners Association would like to recommend Cape eWaste as your go-to for discarding all your electronic waste.  We will also be collaborating with Cape eWaste to do collection drives in Sunset Beach once every 3 months.  They will be here on a Saturday morning between 09h00 and 12h00, to take any unwanted electronic equipment as mentioned below.  Please do keep your eyes on our Sunset Beach Calendar at the bottom of this page for the next eWaste Collection date.

Electronic waste, or E-Waste, is the fastest growing waste stream in South Africa.

Every year, you the consumer and businesses discard of millions of
  • televisions,
  • computers,
  • cell phones, and
  • other electronic products.
The challenge is to find economical ways to recycle and reuse these products.

We at Cape e-Waste Recyclers provide a free service to the day to day consumer as well as our bigger corporates, retailers, education facilities, medical institutes and our local & national government.

Free Recycling for Sunset Beach Residents

We announce with great pleasure that the new SBHOA Committee have successfully arranged for free collection of recyclable materials in Sunset Beach. The City of Cape Town will be collecting recyclable material from Sunset Beach residents once a week from 1 December 2016.

Please remember to place your paper, cans, bottles and plastic in bags, outside your gate ON A TUESDAY. It is helpful to the recycling process to give these items a quick rinse prior to discarding them.

New users can place their recycling out in normal plastic bags or boxes and they will find a plastic bag replaced into their post box once collected.

eWaste must not be going into this recycling, but rather be dropped off at the Recycling Collection bin at Makro in Milnerton.  Just ask the security or any Makro employee if you cant locate the bin.  Thank you.
